Broughton and North Newington Aunt Sally team were formed in 2008 and have enjoyed three successive promotions including two league titles and now play in Division Three of the Banbury and District Aunt Sally League.
Aunt Sally is an eight a side game played on a pitch thirty feet long. It involves each player taking it in turns to throw six sticks at a ‘doll’sat on an ‘iron’at the other end of the pitch. Fixtures are played on a Thursday evening and is a social sport which is enjoyed alongside a pint or two!
